Client-to-Server Compatibility Guide from custo diagnostic 5.8.0

custo diagnostic 5.8 is a medical device that technically consists of two parts (server and client), but is still treated like a single medical device.

This means that the combination of client and server on a computer or within a network can only ever be operated with the same version number.

This applies to the entire version number.

Example: Only "custo diagnostic client 5.8.2" may be operated on a "custo diagnostic server 5.8.2".

All other combinations are not permitted.

Separate compatibilities apply to systems that are connected via RDT (e.g. custo secure) or satellite systems.

The compatibility between the custo diagnostic client and custo diagnostic server depends on the used API. Not all clients are compatible to any server.

Satellites: Satellite Server and Satellite Clients shall have the same major version (eg. 5.8.x or 5.9.x or 5.10.x etc.).
RDT Systems: The RDT evaluation centre must have always the highest version in the network. RDT clients can be have the same or lower version than the RDT evaluation centre.

custo diagnostic client and custo diagnostic server can also be updated independent from each other. You can find above an overview which client is compatible with which server.

• First: Update the server -> because the "old" clients can work intermittently with the new server
• Second: Update the clients

If you update the system from a major version to an higher major version please do not let the customer working with the system until his custo diagnostic client has been updatet to the same version as the custo diagnostic server.
