  1. Start the Setup program


  2. Select the Language for the Setup

    The Setup will remember the selected Language for the next Installation or Update.

  3. Click 'Next' o the Welcome Page


  4. Agree and Confir the EULA


  5. Enter the Registered User and Company. You can leav this Field also empty.
    Select in the second Part of the Page whether the Shortcuts are installed for the currently logged on User or for all Users.


  6. Select the Installation Type
    For this Setup you have to select the "Stand-alone" Mode.


  7. Input the License Number (6 digit).
    With the Funktion 'Check License' you can test if the License suites to the custo diagnostic Version you want to install.


  8. Select some Options needed by you
    (Description see here)


  9. Select the GUI Language for custo diagnostic


  10. Select the Folder where custo diagnostic to be installed


  11. Wait for the Installation Process


  12. Finish the Installation. Sometime you will informed here if an restart of the Computer is necessary.


Installation Types

Stand-alone - all Components on one Computer

With this Mode the Setup install all necessary Components on this local Computer. This is useful for Stand-alone Machines or Satellite Systems.

Server - Network Installation

With this Mode you can Install the first Part (Server) of a custo diagnostic Network Environment on a centralized Computer (eg. Server)

On the next page you can choose the Storage Folder for the cst Files on the Server. Its absolute recommend to store the evaluation files (cst) on the local filesystem. The Setup will create this Folder and make a Share onto this Folder (Default: "\\COMPUTERNAME\custo med"). This Share must be accessable from the Client. Please remember this Share for the Client Setup. After the Setup has finished you can find in this Folder the CustoCfg.ini for the Client Access. For the License Functionality see (above) Step 7.

Client - Network Installation

With this Mode you can Install the second Part (Client) of a custo diagnostic Network Environment. This Mode has to be installed at a Client Workstation.

After this Page the Setup continues with Step 8 (see above). Some Options are enabled or disabled by default. For example no Database Server Option is enabled or available.

Satellite System - Client, to use as a Satellite Computer

With this Mode you can Install custo diagnostic as a Satellite Client. This Mode has to be installed at a Client Workstation.

After this Page the Setup continues with Step 8 (see above). Some Options are enabled or disabled by default. For example the Database Server Option is enabled to install the SQL Express on the local Computer or the Creating of the Satellite Shortcut.

User defined - manual selection of custo diagnostic x.x Components

With this Mode you can install all available Options independently of each other on your Computer. This Mode is useful if you want to add some Options, Drivers or additional Programs to your Computer.

Available Options


During the Setup you can select some Options to install optional or additional Parts. Some Options are mandatory (identifiable on the checked and disabled Select Buttons) in some Installation Types. For example the SQL Express is mandatory in 'Stand-alone'- but not necessary in 'Client'-Installation Type. With the Installation Type 'User defined' you can select all Options (including 'custo diagnostic x.x' and Drivers) free as you want. So you can install some Options or Drivers additionally to your current Installation.
