Delete a CmAct License from CodeMeter Control Center

If an installed CodeMeter CmAct License goes defective and cannot be updatet successfully its necessary to delete this CodeMeter CmAct license container from this computer.

The CodeMeter CmAct license container cannot be deleted directly from the CodeMeter Control Center. You have to delete the CodeMeter CmAct license container via command line.

1. Open the CodeMeter Control Center and find the appropriate (to be deleted) CodeMeter CmAct license container. Remember the serial number of this CodeMeter CmAct license container.
   
   
2. Open a command prompt window (cmd.exe)
   Its a good idea to open the command prompt window with administration rights (Right mouse click → "run as Administrator")
   
   
3. Change the active folder to the bin-Directory of the installed CodeMeter software. The CodeMeter software is normally installed in "C:\Program Files (x86)\CodeMeter\Runtime" (also in Windows 64bit).
   (Command: cd "\Program Files (x86)\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin")
   
   
4. Enter the instruction:
   "cmu32.exe --delete-cmact-license --serial xxxxx-xxxxxx"
   Please replace the xxxxx-xxxxxx with the real serial number you found in the CodeMeter Control Center.
   Press Enter.
