Standard the er2100 Treadmill is setup with the USB port activated
In case you would like to change this you have to follow the procedure below.

Warning!

In case you are making mistakes in this procedure the treadmill might up ending not working.


Setting up communication port of the er2100

  1. To enter the terminal application of the communication interface module (CIM) from the treadmill, the following
    procedure must be carried out:
  2.  Connect a USB- or straight serial cable to connect to the communication interface
    module.
  3.  You can use a terminal tool such as HyperTerminal or Terra Term.
  4. We use in our example Tera Term, the treadmill is connected to COM3 ( you can check for the correct COM port in the device manager of Windows)



5. Setup the Terminal settings of the session.


6. Set CR+LF for Transmit and Receive and Tag the box for local echo



7. Setup the port settings


8. Baud rate 57k6, Partity none, 8 bits, Stopbits 1 and flow control none


9. Now switch on the treadmill and immediately press Ctrl + Break on the key board of the computer,

The treadmill returns the following information:

10. Select settings, the first menu item allows you to select the USB or Serial port

14. After the settings have been saved the treadmill needs to be restarted to let the new settings take effect.
