Introduction
Sometimes custo diagnostic is running in a virtual environment and must have physical connections to the custo med devices. In normal case you cannot connect flash card read, custo com IR etc. directly to the Remote Box (Wyse, Igel etc.) because the redirection of USB ports in virtual environments are very poor. To solve this situation custo med invented the custo router. custo router is a so called USB-to-Network Adapter. The custo router must have a Network Connection and on the other Side you connect the custo med Device (e.g. custo com IR). The custo router ist standing beside the virtual Workstation and connect the custo med Device via Networt with the custo diagnostic running on the virtual Computer.
This Article describes how to connect a custo com IR via custo router to a virtual Computer.
Preconditions
- custo router Hardware
- custo router Firmware 20170303142702 (Image: "custopi-image-all-raspberrypi3-20170303142702.rootfs.rpi-sdimg")
- custo diagnostic 4.6.0 (minimum)
How to build a custo router by your own you can read here.
Settings in the Service Center
Settings Name | Default Value | Comment |

Geräte\Devices\VirtualRouterSIO\VirtualSIOPort | 4000 | The port on which the TCP port handles serial communication |
Geräte\Devices\VirtualRouterSIO\VirtualSIORouterHost | Hostname or IP address of the custo router | |

Device Settings in custo diagnostic
com IR Settings:
If the custo router communication is activated, a "Search Virtual SIO" button will appear on the custo com IR setup page. After pressing this button, all virtual custo com IR Ports will appear as "Router SIO x" in the list.
Currently, only one button is searched for an active custo router, the settings retain their validity, even if the router is switched off.
Recorder Settings:
Under ABPM (1) → Connection (2) → Device (3) activate 'custo screen 100/200/300/400' (4) and select as connection 'custo com IR' (5). The corresponding router port is then displayed as hardware
