Introduction:

The article describes how to switch directly to the Trainings page with the start of the custo manager and start it automatically when the ergometer is connected.

The automatic Start is only for Training with Ergometer Connection!!

Qickstart Trainingspage:

  1. Create an new Link from custo Manager exe on the Desktop and here is a Name as an example:
  2. right Click on the link,

Automatic training start

Settings

To enable the automatic start of a rehab training, this option must first be activated. Set the Parameter Nr. 2.14  "Enable automatic Start of Training" in the Basic Settings "Control and confirmations" :

After this setting is activated, the system will try to start the exercise automatically for all patients each time the main training page is opened and  a patient has been placed on a exercise station.

How the automatic start is working

If the automatic training start is activated, it is triggered individually for each exercise station as soon a patienten ist selected on the exercise station. The following conditions are continously checked for automatic start:

  • Device / Profile (D)
The training device set for the exerciss station must be connected and a suitable training profile must be selected for the patient.
  • ECG (E)
The ECG quality is checked, only if this is good, the automatic start can take place.
  • Heart rate (H)
The patient's current HR is monitored. The automatic start can only take place if this is stable. A stable HF is present when the standard deviation of the HF value is < 4, i.e. 68% of all heartbeats are in a range of ±4 beats around the mean HF.
  • Rotation (R)
The current rotation speed of the ergometer (therefore only an ergometer training is supported for automtic start) is monitored. Automatic start can only take place if the rotation speed is > 50 rpm. This recognizes that the patient has "started" his exercise.

Only when all conditions are met the count down timer of 10 seconds starts. The conditions must remain permanently fulfilled for 10 seconds by default. If this is the case, the exercise starts automatically. If one of the conditions is broken, the time count stops and everything starts again from the beginning.

Views of the automatic start

As long as one of the conditions ( D, H, R, E ) is not fulfilled, its respective pie is highlighted in red.

1: ECG circle section
2: Device circle section
3: Rotation circle section
4: Heart rate circle section

If all conditions ( D, H, R, E ) are fulfilled, the count down of 10 seconds begins. Once the red border is around, the training starts.

If the mouse pointer is moved over the automatic start view, a tooltip appears in which you can see which conditions are fulfilled or not fulfilled.

With a mouse click on the automatic start view, the automatic start is deactivated for this patient for current exercise. Once the automatic start process has been deactivated by a mouse click, the automatic start disappears and exercise can only be started manually.
